Review and approval of minutes from Feb 1st, 2012- Brian distributed draft copies of the minutes and requested a motion to approve; Carmen moved; Chris seconded. All in favour.

1. Treasurer’s Report
Bank balance as of December 30th, 2011 was $1,509.28. (no change from last meeting)

2. Election – by acclamation the 2011 Executive of the UJNA will continue to service in 2012
• Moved Suzanne; Audrey seconded. All in favour.

3. Casey House Update – Stephanie Karapita, Chief Executive Officer
• Launched in 1988 as a palliative care facility; today an active homecare program and outreach
• HIV continues to rise – 1 in 120 adults HIV positive
• The new Casey House facility will be see as transformational power of architecture – and playing a critical role in HIV care in Toronto & Ontario
• Ministry of Health timeline is to occupy the new building in 2016
• 9 Huntley Street building future is not yet determined – there will be no Ministry funding to operate when the new building opens
• Coach House – the intention was to retain originally, but determined could not place all patients on one floor and retain house, private bay is needed for dignity and privacy; 119 Isabella will not be retained
• Jarvis Street will be a four storey building(change from 5)
• $35M cost government $29M budgeted, balance fundraised raised by Casey House with a goal of $10M (currently in quiet phase and at $4.3M)

4. Sherbourne Street Bike Lanes – update from Christina Bouchard, Assistant Planner – Cycling Infrastructure and Programs and Saikat Basak, P.Eng., Transportation Engineer, Cycling Infrastructure and Programs explained the plan for bike lanes – copy available on website. http://www.toronto.ca/cycling/network/sherbourne.htm

• Suggested no red right turn on Bloor
• Bus stop moved back 5 metres (north bound)
• South bound business have difficulty – need more shelter space for passengers
• Whole area needs to be looked at for people and traffic

5. Rogers – Open discussion with Chris Ostiguy, real estate facilities management (a new position) and Arlene Frank team manager (20 years at Rogers)
• No plans on table at this point for houses that are now in Rogers inventory
• Will maintain properties and advise security teams to include around perimeter
• Treating same as all Rogers properties, including landscaping
• Not rented out

6. Toby – Community Action Plan Consultation Meeting; greater transparency in all building development and new website to list buildings under construction
• Yorkville – April 30th Church of the Redeemer
• Bloor East 519 Church May 7th 6-8 pm
ACTION: Put http://www.Torontocentreplan.org on our website (Suzanne)

7. Councillor Office – update from Melissa Wong
• Two way traffic study for Linden Street reported that the street is not wide enough to permit parking and green parking (or safety) so will not be recommended
• Parking
o More clear demarcation of Linden, Huntley and Selby
o Speed traffic calming for new condo (with traffic come out from Rogers)
o Parking on UJNA – all streets different; need a proposal to ensure residents have opportunity to park: suggesting midnight to 10 permit only, 10 – 5 paid, 5-6 permit only, 6 –midnight free Monday through Saturday, Sunday permit parking midnight to 10 am not paid (and to leave Earl Place as it is currently)
• City Clean Up Week – anti graffiti – please take photos and send to http://www.311@toronto.ca
